NightShade Mission

NightShade is a Nashville-based professional ultimate team for women, transgender, intersex, non-binary, genderqueer, and gender fluid individuals*. We are founding members of the Premier Ultimate League (PUL). NightShade is a nonprofit organization managed by Nashville community leaders dedicated to giving players a professional platform to develop and showcase their talents.

Our mission is to pioneer a sustainable professional ultimate program. We strive to increase equity in the sport, enhance the visibility of women, transgender, non-binary, genderqueer, and gender fluid people* in ultimate, create strong role models, and compete at the highest level while maintaining the spirit of the game. 

*We use this language to reflect the terminology used by the Premiere Ultimate League. This terminology is and will be continuously reevaluated to accurately reflect the inclusivity of marginalized people that the league works to support.

I am a member of a team, and I rely on the team, I defer to it and sacrifice for it, because the team, not the individual, is the ultimate champion.
